Vibe coding

Share your local app
in one prompt.

Share the app running on your machine without deploying it. qURL™ gives you an address to send, and you choose who can open it.

How it works

  1. Your agent sets up qURL

It reads the qURL skill and installs the CLI for your system.

  2. Your app stays on your machine

For private browser sharing, qURL checks access before a connection opens to your app. It stays on your computer, invisible to everyone else.

  3. You get an address to send

The agent applies the private access rules you choose. For named recipients, give it their email addresses so it can send invitations. Recipients verify their email in the browser and save a passkey; they never send you their email verification code. The agent checks policy support before sharing and keeps the app private if the deployment cannot support it.

The moment it works, share it.

No hosting, no builds, no DNS. One prompt and you get an address to share your local build with the people you choose.

Show a client or a friend

Send the real, running app, not a screen recording. They click around while you watch the reaction.

Feel it on your phone

Ask for a one-time link, open it on your phone, and try the app on a real device, seconds after you built it.

Get feedback before you ship

Let a few people click through while you keep building. New version, same address, no redeploy.

Hand it to another agent

Give an agent a one-time link to one app on your machine and nothing else. It gets to work; the rest of your machine stays hidden.

Deploy, tunnel, or share?

Three ways to show someone what you built on localhost, and what each one costs you.

Deploy a preview

Vercel, Lovable, Bolt and Replit publish a copy that stays up when your laptop is closed. It is public by default, and free private options vary by vendor; Bolt requires a paid plan.

Deploy or share?

Open a tunnel

A public tunnel gives your local app an internet address. Add access controls if you need private sharing.

ngrok alternatives

Share it with qURL

Your agent shares the running app through private browser access, invisible to uninvited visitors. qURL checks access before a connection opens. You share a browser address and keep building.

Every option, compared

Set up once. Share from your agent.

Install the plugin for Claude Code or Codex, then ask it to “share this app”. The plugin includes the skill. For other agents, use the manual skill setup below.

FAQs

Do I need an account?

No. Neither do the people you share with: they save a passkey in their browser when they ask for access. Your agent installs the CLI, and the first publish sets up your machine automatically.

Is my laptop exposed to the internet?

qURL keeps your private app off the public internet. After a browser share opens, another browser on the same public IP cannot use its access. Legacy native sessions can still admit other devices on that IP. Keep your app’s own access controls for sensitive work, and close any separate public tunnel or exposed dev server.

Which agents does this work with?

Claude Code and Codex have a qURL plugin; their setup guides show the two installation commands. For other coding agents that can read a URL and run terminal commands, such as Cursor or Windsurf, paste the prompt into the agent running on your computer.

What happens when I close my laptop?

The app is reachable only while your machine is on and the app is running. When both are back, sharing picks up again without publishing again, and the people you approved open the same address. If a one-time link has expired by then, ask your agent for a new one.

Can I let someone in right now, without a code?

Yes. Ask your agent for a one-time link. It can be redeemed once before it expires; an admitted session has its own lifetime. A link is a secret, so send it only to the person it is for.

Can I share an app I built in Lovable or Bolt?

If you can run the app on your own computer, your agent can share it privately with qURL. You keep building locally and choose who can connect, without needing a separate cloud deploy or a LayerV account.

Is this an ngrok alternative?

For sharing a running app, yes. qURL checks access before a connection to your private app opens, keeping it invisible to uninvited visitors. You share a browser address, with no account needed for local sharing. For public webhooks, use a public tunnel.

Can I stop sharing?

Yes. Ask your agent to stop sharing the app. It can turn sharing back on later, or delete it for good. It can also take access away from one person.

Send an address, not a deploy.

Pilot LayerV

Tell us what to protect, and we’ll scope a pilot.

Enterprise starts with a scoped, paid pilot on one application, typically 60 to 90 days, credited in full toward year one if you convert within 60 days. Then an annual package sized to what you protect. Not per seat.
